High School Classes Offered
IDEP D.D.S.The IDEP offers qualified graduates of foreign dental programs the opportunity to earn the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UT Health San Antonio. IDEP will allow you to complete a D.D.S. Degree in two years. The training you'll receive will allow you to take state or regional board examinations to be eligible for dental licensure and dental practice within the United States.
The program starts with an 8-10 week interactive online course adapted to accommodate the strengths and weaknesses of each student. After you've completed the online training, you'll spend about two months in hands-on training on campus before joining other students in the traditional D.D.S. Program at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Because IDEP students come to our campus with previous dental training, your two years in our international dentist program will be spent side by side with students in the third and fourth years of our traditional D.D.S.
